Ms. Hinojosa was born
in Edinburg, Texas, and was raised in Houston, Texas. She was on
the Dean’s List at Baylor University where she received her
Bachelor of Arts degrees in Political Science and Psychology in
1996. She attended St. Mary’s University School of Law and
received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of
Houston Law Center in May of 1999. While in law school, she
concentrated on advocacy competition and was a member of the
University of Houston Mock Trial Team, a quarter finalist in the
Hippard Mock Trial competition, and received the Distinguished
Advocate Award. She was also a member of the Order of
Barristers, as well as the Advocates. Ms. Hinojosa is licensed
by the Texas Supreme Court, as well as the United States
District Courts for the Southern District of Texas.
While attending law school, Ms. Hinojosa was a law clerk with
the Office of the Texas Attorney General, Child Support
Division, in Houston.
After graduating from law school, Ms. Hinojosa obtained an
associate’s position with the law firm of Christian Hill &
Associates, where she was primarily responsible for handling the
workers’ compensation cases involving Spanish-speaking clients.
She later joined the law firm of Spain & Hastings where she
concentrated on the defense of toxic tort cases.
Ms. Hinojosa currently practices in various areas of personal
injury defense litigation including toxic tort, premises
liability, product liability and auto liability cases.
Ms. Hinojosa is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Houston
Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the
Mexican-American Bar Association of Houston.
